Corinne Tupper

Corinne Elaine (Norris) Tupper was born July 23, 1933, to Victor and Rosalie (Cross) Norris in Mondamin, Iowa. She was raised west of Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1951 Corinne married Dwight Edwin Tupper on March 20, 1955, at the Magnolia Methodist Church. The couple farmed northeast of Magnolia and eventually purchased Dwight’s parents’ farm after his father died. Corinne still lived on Dwight’s family farm.

Corinne was a member of the Magnolia Methodist Church and currently the Logan United Methodist Church. The couple were members of the Circle 8 Square Dance Club. Corinne loved  spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known as Grandma Cookie or Nana. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and attending their various sporting events. Corinne sang in the church choir, sang at many weddings and funerals, and taught Vacation Bible School. Additionally, Corinne enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, and growing flowers.

Corinne died on February 25, 2019, at the CHI Health Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa, attaining the age of 85 years, seven months, and two days.

Corinne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight E. Tupper on December 27, 2007; son-in-law, Dale Weigelt; brother, Bruce Norris; and half brother, LeRoy Andersen. She is survived by three daughters, Kris and her husband Robert Ashley of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, LuAnne and her husband Glen Burkhart of Magnolia, Iowa and   Tracy and her husband Randal Swift of Magnolia, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 20+ great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
