Arnold Francis Park was born on August 7, 1933 to Francis and Wilma (Probasco) Park near Dunlap, Iowa. Arnold grew up in the Woodbine area, attending country school and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1951. Arnold owned his own bulldozer and did custom work for many people around the area. In 1953, Arnold was drafted in the U.S. Navy in Harlan, Iowa and honorably discharged in 1955. He married Marlene Dunlop at the Woodbine Methodist Church on July 7, 1962. Arnold attended Ag School through Iowa Western Community College at the Harlan campus. The couple farmed east of Woodbine and raised a lot of hog over the years. The couple retired and moved into Woodbine in 2011.

Arnold was a member of the Woodbine United Methodist Church. He loved to work at Agriland FS after retirement. Arnold liked to fish and hunt in his earlier years. He also loved to tinker and fix things, as well as looking up information on the computer, baking bread and visiting and telling stories and jokes. Arnold made a lot of his own farm equipment and made modifications on them. The couple played cards with the neighborhood card club.

Arnold died on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 79 years, three months and 26 days.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Larry Park. He is survived by his wife Marlene Park of Woodbine, Iowa; four children, Allen Park and his wife Sherry of Woodbine, Iowa, Gary Park and his wife Michelle of Ewing, Nebraska, Randy Park and Jackie of Dow City, Iowa, Tammy & Todd Rivera of Shelby, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; sister, Janet and John Mock of Madisonville, Texas; sister-in-law, Sharon Park of Apache Junction, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends.
