Beverly Christiansen

Beverly Ann Christiansen was born in Crawford County Iowa on October 9, 1936, the daughter of August Martin and Ellen Marie (Nordine) Namanny. She passed away February 23, 2021, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, Iowa, at the age of 84 years.

Beverly grew up on a farm in Crawford County Iowa but lived most of her adult life in Dunlap, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Russell Christiansen in 1954, and over time they were blessed with three children: Barbara, Steven, and Neva. Beverly enjoyed spending her time sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, reading, completing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing and a good card game. She had an especially close bond with her daughter, Neva, and they were fortunate to have been able to travel the country and abroad together in recent years.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Lloyd; her partner of over 30 years, Clark Melby; three brothers, Herbert, Harold and James; and two sisters, Helen Weinbrandt and Lois Heeren. She is survived by her children, Barbara and partner Daniel Carley, Steven Christiansen and wife Christine and Neva and husband Tom Summerfield; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

No funeral services are planned. A private celebration of life may be held in the future.
