Woodbine, Iowa

Billy Lee Jordan, 81, of Woodbine, Iowa went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2017. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family. After a long battle with heart problems, the heavens are rejoicing.

Billy was born April 26, 1935, in Olathe, Kansas to Jesse and Muriel (Cox) Jordan. He graduated from high school in Redding, Iowa and then attended Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri. Billy married Charlotte Archuleta in New Mexico. He worked in construction building homes. They lived in Gypsum, Colorado for 36 years until his retirement. They then moved to Nebraska in 1999 to be closer to Billy's family. The couple moved to Woodbine in January of this year. Billy was a loving husband and father of seven. He loved to sing and he could play any instrument. He played for church or just for family. He loved hunting, fishing, and four wheeling in the mountains of Colorado that he called home for most of his life. He loved being with his family and friends and also exercising. Most of all Billy loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all his heart and he served Him well. Billy was a strong man with a big heart who would drop everything to help you out. His generosity and kindness knew no limits and he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lester (Mary) Jordan; sister, Lola Riche and two great grandchildren, Oakley and Finnley McCreery-Storms.
