Carol Ann (Jacobsen) Livengood Kelley was born April 21, 1948, to Raymond and Doris (Young) Jacobsen in Logan, Iowa. She was raised in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1966. Carol was her dad's "right hand man." After high school Carol worked at Offutt as a personal assistant to the colonel in charge of the airman's assignments. She then attended Stewart's Cosmetology School. She then taught at Stewart's for two years. Carol married Lyle Livengood in June of 1972. The couple lived in Modale and they were blessed with two sons. Carol worked at J.C. Penny's, Richman Gordman's, Pamida and at a hair salon in Missouri Valley. Lyle died in 1997. Carol married Charles Kelley in 2004. In 1989 she started working at the Mo Valley Implement and in 2005 she started working at Vetter's Equipment in Denison. She retired in 2014.

Carol enjoyed playing Solitare and Yahtzee. She loved spending time with her granddaughter. For several years Carol ran the horse show in Missouri Valley for the Harrison County Fair. Carol simply enjoyed helping people. She would take her mother-in-law, Darlene Kelley, out for drives in the country and to the cemeteries to decorate for Memorial Day.

Carol died on Friday, December 25, 2015, at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 67 years, eight months, and four days.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lyle Livengood; and brother, Duane Jacobsen. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kelley of Modale, Iowa; two sons, Mark Livengood of Modale, Iowa and Brian Livengood and his wife Jennifer of Omaha, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Eva Livengood; stepsons, Heath Kelley and his wife Aleacia, Mike Kelley and his special friend Kirsten Baxter all of Mondamin, Iowa; two step grandchildren, Anna and Braxton Kelley; sister-in-law, Dottie Jacobsen of Blair, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
