Carolyn Tupper

Carolyn Jane Tupper was born March 7, 1930, to Frank L. and Ethel Marie (Collins) Pitt near Crescent, Iowa. She was raised near Crescent, attended elementary school and started high school at Thomas Jefferson in Council Bluffs before moving to Harrison County. She then attended Logan High School and graduated from Magnolia High School. Carolyn moved to Rockford, Illinois and lived with her aunt and worked as a secretary. Carolyn married Donald Tupper on April 2, 1950, in the Magnolia United Methodist Church. Carolyn was a housewife and farm wife. She later worked at Westmont Nursing Home. Donald died in 1987.

Carolyn was a member of the Magnolia and then Logan United Methodist Church and was also active in the UMW. Additionally, she was a member of Willow Valley Club, Delvers Club, and Friends of the Library. Carolyn loved to read.

Carolyn died on Monday, November 21, 2016, at her home in Logan, Iowa at the age of 86 years, eight months, and 14 days.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Tupper; brother, Jimmie Pitt; and sister, Billie Wolf. She is survived by her three children, Janet (Marvin) Ring of Underwood, Iowa, Daryl (Becky McHugh) Tupper of Logan, Iowa, Peggy (Keith) Fagan of Sioux City, Iowa; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
