Charlene Kay Kline was born November 9, 1955, to Mildred and Leonard (Malone) Kline in Onawa, Iowa. She was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1974. Charlene worked at the A & W Restaurant, Bingo King and American Games all in Council Bluffs. She moved to Missouri Valley and then to Dunlap. She worked in the kitchen at the Dunlap Specialty Care. Charlene became a resident of the Dunlap Specialty Care in April of 2016.

Charlene loved to camp, fish, shop, crochet, and babysit her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed dressing up and attending Halloween parties. Charlene especially enjoyed family gatherings.

Charlene died on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Dunlap Specialty Care at the age of 62 years, five months, and 29 days.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald in infancy, Gaylen and Roger. She is survived by her two brothers, Leonard Kline and his wife Sue of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Alan Kline of Dunlap, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Chasity and her husband Tony Jones of Dunlap, Iowa, Debbie Kline of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Coty Kline, Kelsey Morris, Christina Foote, Justin Kline, Shelby Kline and Jacob Kline; and other relatives and friends.
