Colton Watkins

Colton James Watkins was born October 4, 1993, to Melody (DuClos) Watkins in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was raised in Woodbine, Iowa and attended Woodbine Community School. Colton moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa and attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Colton worked for a company selling magazines.

Colton enjoyed many sports including: football, golf, and wrestling. He also enjoyed drawing. Colton was his sister’s rock and her protector. Colton always cared about other people and making them feel safe and secure.

Colton died on Monday, February 18, 2019, as a result of a car accident in Indiana at the age of 25 years, four months and 14 days.

Colton was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his sister, Cheyenne Watkins of Woodbine, Iowa; two half-siblings, Cody Watkins of Austin, Texas and Nicole Watkins of Silver City, Iowa; grandmother, Phyllis Barnard of Woodbine, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
