Connie Hardy

     Connie Joyce Hardy was born on May 15, 1947, in Denison, Iowa to Robert and Joyce (Pearson) Freerking. She grew up in Denison and attended the catholic school there. On April 3, 1964, Connie was united in marriage to Wayne Hardy in Denison. She spent many years after that taking care of their children. Later on, Connie worked at Super8 in Missouri Valley, Iowa until she was no longer able to work due to the loss of her legs.

     Connie enjoyed fishing and camping. She also loved catching up with friends and family members. Most of all, Connie loved spending time with her family. 

     Connie died on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Azria Health Rise Vista at the age of 76 years. nine months and 22 days.

     Connie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Nuzum; grandchildren, Eileen Marie Nuzum and Andrew Bak; son-in-law, Mark Wagner; and brother, Terry Freerking. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Hardy; daughters, Tammy and her husband Brian Bak of Woodbine and Tina Wagner of Turin, Iowa; grandchildren, Faith, Amanda, Mark II, Breanna, Brian, Elise and Dustin; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Neron of Woodbine; and many other relatives and friends.
