      Cyrila Rae Roberts was born on July 30, 1950, in Onawa, Iowa to Cyril and Patsy (Stewart) Gray. She spent her childhood in the Dow City and Dunlap, Iowa area. She graduated from Dunlap High School with the Class of 1968 and later furthered her education by taking accounting and computer courses. Cyrila began her career working for Eldridge Food Brokerage and later Mutual of Omaha. She was married to Bill Sachse, and to this union two children were born, Quentin and Crissa. On December 26, 2001, Cyrila married the love of her life, Ron Roberts at the Congregational Church in Dunlap. Through their marriage, she lovingly welcomed Ron’s children, Melissa, Matthew, Nick, and Jake, expanding the family she cherished so deeply. While raising her family, she found great joy in caring for children in her home through babysitting, a role that allowed her to share her nurturing spirit with countless families throughout the years. She was a dedicated member of the Lifeline Church in Dunlap.

     Cyrila found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a homebody at heart and was happiest at home surrounded by those she loved most. Cyrila loved studying the Bible and sharing the word of Jesus. She loved to sing, tend to her garden, and raise chickens. She was the “Queen of the kitchen” and loved to share her amazing meals.

     Cyrila died on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 75 years,10 months and 12 days. Her kind and welcoming spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

     Cyrila was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jake Roberts; and brothers, Charles, Dean, and Michael. She is survived by husband, Ron of Dunlap; children, Crissa Schumann of Charter Oak, Iowa, Quentin (Jenny) Sachse of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Melissa (Matt) Mohr of Denison, Iowa, Matthew (Gabrielle) Roberts of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Nick (Lindsay) Roberts of Atlantic, Iowa; siblings, David Gray of Omaha, Nebraska, Patty Jo (Bill) Oliver of Lenox, Iowa, Kevin (Carmen) Gray of Omaha, and Damon (Kim) Gray of South Carolina; grandchildren, Graysen, Hudsen, Samsen, Brooks, Jacob, Brandon, Jaxon, Olivia, and Crisstin; and many other relatives and friends.
