Danna Faye Pettit
Danna Faye (Henson) Pettit was born on August 29, 1933 at Loveland, Texas to parents C.H. & Jesse (McMillan) Henson. She grew up and graduated from high school in San Angelo, Texas. She had worked as a waitress at Libby's Cafeteria in Texas. On September 30, 1954, Danna married C. Dale Pettit in San Angelo, Texas. Due to Dale being in the service, the couple lived in various locations including, San Angelo, Texas, Japan, Goldsboro, North Carolina to name a few. After Dale retired from the service in 1972, the couple moved to Logan, Iowa. After their two children were raised Danna took care of children in their home. Danna loved to cook, bake and keep house.
Danna died on Sunday, August 31, 2003 at the Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley at the age of 70 years and two days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Raymond Henson and C.H. Henson, Jr. She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Dale Pettit of Logan; son, Rodney Pettit & his wife Dawn of Logan; daughter, Cheryl & her husband Bob Smith of Woodbine; 4 grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; five brothers, her twin, Doug Henson, Wayne Henson, William Henson & his wife Margie and Thurman Henson & his wife Joyce all of San Angelo, TX and Berlin Henson & his wife Doris of Tyler, TX; three sisters, Bernice & her husband Hi Himan of Hobbs, New Mexico, Obeda Sisco of Paris, TX and Carol Jean Henson of Lake Dallas, TX and many other relatives and friends.
