Dee Ann (Annie) Mann was born on January 14, 1956, to Dee Arion and Helen (Fisher) Mann in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a special child of God's, sent to a loving family to shine her beautiful light on this world. She had curly red hair and was a very curious and happy child. Annie and Mary were close in age creating a special bond that has always remained strong. The family had a dog, Wolfie, that kept a close eye on Annie when she was outside. Annie spent several years in a state home in Glenwood, Iowa. Her mother wrote her a letter each week. Later, her sister, Janie, was able to move her to Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Annie had the best roommate possible ~ her mom. Janie was a special caretaker of Annie’s.
Annie truly was blessed to be part of the Longview family and was often on-the-go greeting residents and visitors. She enjoyed sweets, watching nature, and playing Bingo, especially with her mom. Annie loved music and new clothes.
Annie passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, at the age of 64 years, nine months and four days.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Dee Arion and Helen Mann and grandparents, Frank and Emma (Weber) Fisher and Hubert and Bernice (Bailey) Mann.
