Dennis Osbahr

Dennis Delaine Osbahr was born on May 20, 1943, to Marvin and Betty (Caddell) Osbahr in Logan, Iowa. He was raised in Woodbine and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1961. Dennis married Carolyn Robertson in August of 1961 and the couple was blessed with three children. The family lived in Council Bluffs where Dennis worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. They then moved to Woodbine in 1969. Dennis operated the Osbahr Television Repair Service until 1983. In 1982 Dennis married Beverly (Nelson) Bivens. The couple moved to Medford, Oregon. Dennis continued to repair electronics and the couple would also purchase homes, fix them up and sell them. In September of 2006 they returned to Woodbine.

Dennis enjoyed his dogs and fishing. He also liked to play the guitar and banjo and he played in a band in his younger years. He enjoyed reading, playing games like Yahtzee and Pitch as well as crossword and Sudoko puzzles.

Dennis died on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at his home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 69 years, 11 months and one day.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Marva Jean Osbahr. He is survived by his three children, Kevin Osbahr of Ames, Iowa, Cindy Whitmer of Atchison, Kansas, Teresa (Charlie) Hunter, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado two grandchildren, Laura and Justin; parents, Marvin and Betty Osbahr of Omaha, Nebraska; two step daughters, Michelle (Dennis) Cox of Woodbine, Iowa, Melissa (Kevin) Glenn of Basalt, Colorado; five step grandchildren, Ashley, J.D., Lexi, Jessica and Sheridan; three brothers, Garland (Nell) Osbahr of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Jerome Osbahr of Omaha, Nebraska, Terry (Judy) Osbahr of Springfield, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
