Donald Clark

Donald Oscar Clark was born on January 10, 1936, in Moorhead, Iowa to Irvin Paul and Carrie Amintha (Lewis) Clark. Donnie was raised in Pisgah and he graduated from Pisgah High School in 1954. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from September of 1954 to June of 1958. He worked highway construction as foreman and superintendent for several construction companies including Booth & Olsen Construction out of Sioux City. He then started the Clark Construction Company and operated it for 10 plus years.

Donnie was a member of the Community of Christ in Pisgah and had been Mayor of Pisgah since 1995. He was a member of the Pisgah American Legion Post #408 and member of the Eagles Club in Onawa. He loved to play euchre, loved cats and he was always documenting things throughout the day.

Donnie died on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa at the age of 75 years, nine months and three days.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harley Oscar Clark, Kenneth Lewis Clark and Paul LaVerne Clark. He is survived by his three sons, Donald Scott Clark and his wife Jackie of Pisgah, Iowa, Cary Lee Clark of Woodbine, Iowa and Thomas Joseph Clark of Pisgah, Iowa; five grand-children, Amanda Lawrenson, Dustin, Dillon, Dalton and Taylor Clark; one brother, James Otis Clark of Roanoke, Virginia; and many other relatives and friends.
