   Donald "Buzz" Stevens was born February 13, 1933, to Ira and Elizabeth (Lafey) Stevens in Yorkshire Township near Neola, Iowa.  He grew up in the Neola area and graduated from Neola High School.  Donald served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy.  On June 2,�1957, he married Frances Hieter.  The couple lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa where Donald (Steve) worked for US West for 39 years.  Upon his retirement, the couple enjoyed their summers in Woodbine, Iowa and their winters in Yuma, Arizona.
   
   Donald was a member of the United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved the manual labor involved in cutting wood. He cut wood as a hobby for over 40 years.
   
   Donald died on Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Yuma, Arizona attaining the age of 72 years, two months, and 24 days.
   
   Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers George Stevens, Robert Stevens and Jack Stevens.  He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frances; daughter, Deb and son-in-law Mike Park of Woodbine, Iowa; son Craig Stevens and daughter-in-law Traci of Chesapeake, Virginia; four grandchildren; Keeley Park, Leagha Stevens, Rylan�Stevens and Gabe Stevens; sister-in-law Esther Stevens of Council Bluffs, Iowa and sister-in-law Norma and her husband Robert Peters of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces and nephews; Susan Stevens and Dan Stevens, Marc Peters, Jane Peters, Pam Plummer, and Rob Peters; and many other dear friends.
