Donna Pape

Donna Lee (Neill) Pape was born on November 11, 1940, in Walt Hill, Nebraska to Earl and Mary (Martin) Neill. She grew up in Modale, Iowa and graduated from the Modale High School in 1957. On September 27, 1959, Donna was united in marriage to Larry Pape. Larry and Donna made their home East of Pisgah where they farmed and raised cattle for many years. Their family was complete after the addition of their three boys: Scott Anthony, Todd Duane and Dale Michael. Donna worked for First National Bank in the trust department. She retired in 1996.

Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of day-to-day living. She enjoyed reading and had a thirst for knowledge and adventure through the pages of countless books. Her interests extended beyond literature; she was also an avid enthusiast of flea markets and antiques, where she delighted in seeking unique treasures and good bargains. Family was the cornerstone of Donna's life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

Donna passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Azria Health Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 84 years, nine months and 28 days,

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elva (Duane) Winslow; and granddaughter, Amanda Pape. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Woodbine; sons: Scott and his wife Brenda Pape of Little Sioux, Iowa and their children and grandchildren, Nicole Carritt, of Logan, Iowa (Kai, Teagan and Miles), Brandy and Wes Chisnall of Windsor, Colorado (Cason and Willa) and Brandon and Lisa Pape of Little Sioux (Merritt, Kypson, Krue and baby girl); Todd and his wife Casey Pape and their sons, Tucker Pape and Tate Pape all of Pisgah; and Dane and his wife Heidi Pape of Pisgah and their daughter and grandchildren, Cassidy and Matthews Simons (Sutton and Swade) of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; and many other relatives and friends.
