Donna Louise (Triplett) Parr was born October 7, 1927, in Woodbine, Iowa to Orland and Freda (Schmidt) Triplett. She was raised west of Woodbine, attended country school, and then she graduated from Woodbine High School in 1945. She then taught country school for two years. Donna married Glen Parr on March 28, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska at the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church. The couple farmed near the Pisgah and Moorhead areas. They moved into Pisgah in 1987. Glen died on June 20, 1988.

Donna attended the Community of Christ in Pisgah. She loved spending time with her family and she really enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and listening to old time country music.

Donna died on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at her home in Pisgah, Iowa at the age of 84 years, six months, and 28 days.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen Parr; daughter, Evelyn Armstrong; and two brothers, Arlis and Darrell Triplett. She is survived by her three children, Diane and her husband Bob Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska, Arthur Parr of South Sioux City, Nebraska and David Parr and his wife Sioux of Charter Oak, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Peitzman of Grimes, Iowa, Arlene and her husband Dorrance Seeley of Logan, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
