Raymond Ralph Koski was born on December 23, 1938, to Ralph and Georgia (Stilson) Koski in Dunlap, Iowa. He grew up in the Dunlap area and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1957. Ray then attended Simpson College for two years. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was in Korea and specialized as a rifle sharpshooter, carbine expert and missile man. Ray married Janice DeForest of Woodbine on May 14, 1966. Doc Koski, as he was know by many, had a chiropractic practice locally for 40 years. He gained great satisfaction through the help he gave his patients over the years. He and Jan worked side by side daily for decades until retiring in 2010.

Ray was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church. He enjoyed prairie dog hunting, trap shooting, and tractor pulling. Most of all he enjoyed his family.
