Ed Handke

Edward Walter Handke was born March 30, 1935, to Walter and Martha (Roggatz) Handke in Dunlap, Iowa. Ed attended school in the Dunlap area. He enjoyed his career of farming in the Dunlap and Ute, Iowa areas. When Ed wasn't farming, he enjoyed tractors, friends, country music, and dancing. Ed married Joyce Jambrosic on January 20, 1991, in Missouri. She died on February 16, 2007. Ed struggled with Parkinson's Disease for many years, and he spent the last few years of his life at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake, Iowa.

Ed died on Monday, September 18, 2017, at Twilight Acres at the age of 82 years, five months, and 19 days.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Handke; daughter, Melanie Handke; and sister, Irene Jobe. He is survived by his sister, Leetha Ware of Grandview, Missouri; brother, Ernest Handke and his wife Norma of Amoret, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
