Francis Lee Guyett

Francis was born on December 28, 1932 near Woodbine, Iowa, to parents Lloyd B. and Lois (Johns) Guyett. He attended school in Woodbine. Francis then joined the Air Force and served a number of years, including during the Korean War. After his discharge, Francis worked for B. B. Runyan Furniture in Omaha. He then worked in the civil service as a fireman at Offutt Air Force base. After his disability in 1979, he bought and sold furniture at his auction house in the Omaha area. He became a resident of the Lindenwood Nursing Home in Omaha in 1989 after suffering a stroke.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a handy man, loved to do woodworking and was very light hearted and fun to be around.

Francis died July 25, 2002 at the Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska attaining the age of 69 years, six months, and 27 days.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Max, Kenneth, Dick and Phillip Guyett; step-brother, Keith Travis and a son, David. Francis is survived by three sons, Rick Guyett of Florida, David Guyett of Omaha, and Gary Stroud of Colorado; daughters, Wendy Guyett of Omahaand Dori Plucker of North Carolina; two sisters, Helen Larby Guyett of San Diego, California and Dorothy & her husband Bob Lohrman of Manilla, Iowa; two brothers Jack Guyett & his wife Diane of Bellevue, Nebraska and Larry Guyett & his wife Barb of Woodbine, Iowa; step brother Bill Travis & his wife Betty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
