Gale Argotsinger

December 10, 1954 — July 29, 2022

Omaha (formerly Woodbine)

Gale Kenneth Argotsinger was born December 10, 1954, to Kenneth and Betty (Riddle) Argotsinger in Denison, Iowa and passed away on July 29, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri. Gale grew up on the family farm and attended school in Woodbine, Iowa. He graduated from Woodbine High School in 1973. He attended one year of college at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Gale was known for his dry sense of humor and loved to share a new story to get a laugh.

Gale was an avid world traveler. His favorite destination was Hawaii, and he logged at least 13 trips to the islands. He visited New York City many times, enjoying many shows and sites. Gale loved to share stories from his trips to China, including reading a copy of the Woodbine Twiner on the Great Wall of China and seeing the Terracotta Warriors. He traveled to Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Alaska, Key West and many other places.

Gale loved flowers and grew beautiful flowers around his house in Omaha. He planted over 5,000 tulip bulbs at the family farm in Woodbine and loved to sit on the deck and admire his handy work in the spring.

Gale worked over twenty years at First Data in Omaha as a machine operator, as well as his part time role at Sam’s Clubs as a photo shop specialist.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Dennis; sister-in-law, Karen (Boyer) Argotsinger; brother-in-law, Steve Anderson; nephews, Bruce and Scott Argotsinger; lifelong friend, Marc Harper; and his beloved four-legged girls, Lucy and Patches.
Gale is survived by his brother, Larry (Bonnie) Argotsinger; sisters, Patty McGuire, Diana (Jay) Lowery, Judy Anderson and Debra (Lee) Fillian; sister-in-law, Connie (Swanson) Argotsinger; many wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Gale had plans to continue his travels after he retired. Unfortunately poor health cut his dreams short.
