Glenn Edward Brewer was born on May 24, 1931, in Decatur, Nebraska to Glenn M. and Hazel (Pounds) Brewer. He grew up in Decatur and graduated from there. Glenn then joined the U.S. Army for two years. After his honorable discharge, Glenn attended Wayne State College. On June 14, 1959, he was united in marriage to Evarine “Evie” Murphy. Glenn taught in Galva for two years, where he coached every school sport, boys and girls, and then in the summer of 1962 they moved to Logan, Iowa. He taught Industrial Arts, coached Varsity Football and also coached some Jr. High sports. He officially retired from the school in 1993, but he remained working for the school as a bus driver for many years.

Glenn was a friend to everyone. He loved to socialize. He also enjoyed golfing and going to the casino. In his early years he enjoyed hunting.
