Greg Casey

     Gregory Donald Casey was born on February 12, 1953, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to John and Elizabeth (Swanson) Casey. He grew up in the Galva, Iowa area and graduated in 1971 before attending Western Iowa Tech. Greg’s life was rooted in his love for God, his devotion to his family, and an appreciation for the freedom he found on the open road. He proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force and Navy, dedicating more than 18 years to military service. After his discharge from the military, Greg held many jobs over the years, staying active in his community and church.

     He enjoyed motorcycles and the sense of freedom they brought him, often finding peace in time spent riding.

     Greg died at his home in Woodbine, Iowa, on February 5, 2026, at the age of 72.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, David Casey and Rick Casey. He is survived by his children, Sarah Casey of Nebraska, Heather Clinkenbeard of Florida, Jeremy Casey of Iowa, and Sean Casey of Iowa; his sisters, Linda (Bob) Peitz of South Dakota and Carol Lyons of Illinois; and many other relatives and friends.

Per Greg's request his cremated remains will be interred at the Omaha National Cemetery at a later date.
