Harold Lloyd "Fuzzy" Douglas was born July 4, 1943, to Lamont George and Mable Eva (Netsch) Douglas in Woodbine, Iowa. He was raised near Woodbine and attended Meadow Brook Country School and Woodbine High School graduating in 1961. He worked for the telephone company, proudly served his country in the Army Reserves, and he also worked for the Harrison County REC. Fuzzy married Kathy Kahre on November 1, 1968. At the age of 50, Fuzzy had a severe stroke. He then volunteered at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska for a few years.

Fuzzy enjoyed fireworks, shooting guns, boating, skiing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, hunting, fishing, and he especially enjoyed telling jokes. He was dedicated to his job and one winter he drove a snowmobile to Woodbine to help restore power to some REC members.

Fuzzy died on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine at the age of 72 years and 28 days.

Fuzzy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gail Douglas and Lyle Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Douglas of Logan, Iowa; grandson, Cody Smith of Logan, Iowa; granddaughter, Victoria Smith of Northfield, Minnesota; brother, Larry Douglas and his wife Janice of Woodbine, Iowa; sister, Karen and her husband Doug Rickers of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
