   Irene Theresa (Musich) Coenen was born August 6, 1921, to Michael and Katherine (Schneider) Musich in Westphalia, Iowa.  She grew up in the Westphalia area and graduated from St. Boniface Catholic School.  On September 30, 1941, Irene married Raymond P. Coenen at St. Boniface Catholic Church.  The couple farmed near Panama for four years, before they moved to a farm in the Westphalia area and eventually moved to the Coenen family farm.  In the spring of 1973 they moved to Dunlap and purchased the Dunlap Locker.  They sold this business in 1987.  Irene then worked at the Meal Site and as a teacher's aide at the Boyer Valley School.  She then became a senior volunteer at the school.
   
   Irene was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and she was a Catholic Daughter.  She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and going to high school sporting events.  She also enjoyed watching sports on the television and going to the Omaha Community Theater.
   
   Irene died Saturday, February 5, 2005, at her home in Dunlap, Iowa attaining the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 30 days.
   
   Irene was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.  She is survived by her 13 children, Kathleen & Jeff Marxen of Omaha, NE, Shirley & Gary Lee of Wilmington, OH, Roger & Chris Coenen of Boynton Beach, FL, Ray & Patricia Coenen of Omaha, NE, Mary Lou & Wendell Riley of Spirit Lake, IA, Michael & Laura Coenen of Omaha, NE, Theresa & Tim Corrigan of Littleton, CO, Martha & Duane Finken of Earling, IA, Denice Coenen of Omaha, NE, Sharon & Craig Mitchell of Dunlap, IA, Lois Coenen of Niwot, CO, Dean & Nancy Coenen of Omaha, NE, Margie & Bob Heffernan of Woodbine, IA; Raymond P. Coenen (Nebraska Skilled Nursing) Omaha, NE; 29 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen & Lawrence Petsche of Harlan, IA, Alice Ann Seibert of Lovington, NM; brother, Laverne & Helen Musich of Westphalia; and many other relatives and friends.
