James Howie

     James Alvin Howie was born on August 27, 1950, in a nursery in Exira, Iowa to Woodrow and Mildred Howie. Jim worked as a meat cutter, whether it be at a packing house, grocery store meat department, or a local meat processing plant. On May 23, 1994, Jim married Judy Rudnick-Howie in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent the final 31 years of his life with the wife he loved. 

     Jim passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 29 days. 

     Jim is survived by his children, Nicole Curtis, Tammy (Mike) Keeler, and Andrea (Justin) McHugh; stepchildren, Lisa (Joseph) Amato and Talli Jo Rudnick; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Howie and Mildred and Bayard Hanson and his wife, Judy Rudnick-Howie.
