Jean Burkhart

Jean Elizabeth (Bamford) Burkhart was born August 24, 1932, to William and Opal Aline (McHenry) Bamford in Woodbine, Iowa. She died on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa at the age of 80 years, two months, and 24 days.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Harriett Evans; four sisters, Beverly Sailors, Genevieve Clausen, Bertha Bamford and Virginia Orr; and two brothers, William Bamford and Irving (Bud) Bamford. She is survived by her husband, Harold Burkhart of Logan, Iowa; five children, Patti Burkhart of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Everett Burkhart and his wife Nancy of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mary and her husband Francis Phillips of Arlington, Nebraska, Glen Burkhart and his wife LuAnne of Logan, Iowa, and Jeffery Burkhart of Missouri Valley, Iowa; two sisters, Kathleen Ellison of Woodbine, Iowa, and Irvalee Ulmer of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.
