Jim Nuzum

Robert James "Jim" Nuzum was born March 16, 1953, to Robert and Nettie (Lantz) Nuzum in Pisgah, Iowa. Jim attended school in Dunlap, Moorhead, Onawa, Blenco and then Woodbine. Jim married Beth Forde on June 10, 1972, in Magnolia, Iowa. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Alicea on June 16, 1973. Jim shelled corn, worked road construction and for 16 winters he helped his dad take care of Woodland Campground.

Jim like fishing, playing pool and playing cards. He also enjoyed going to the casino and listening to music.

Jim died on Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 62 years, three months, and three days.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Bob Nuzum; sister, Charlotte Cox; brother, Brian Nuzum; nieces, Lorraine Cox and Eileen Nuzum and nephew, Brayden Shumate. He is survived by his mother, Nettie Nuzum of Woodbine, Iowa; daughter, Alicea and her husband Rich Neff of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandchildren, Shane, Shilo and Sydnee Neff; great grandson, Kyson Neff; six siblings, Rosella Shelley of Kimballton, Iowa, Roger Nuzum of Audubon, Iowa, Rita and her husband Butch Shumate of Dunlap, Iowa, Reta and her husband Tom Crampton of Vail, Iowa, Cheryl and her husband Bryan Krueger of Omaha, Nebraska, Gale Nuzum and his wife Teresa of Woodbine, Iowa; brother-in-law, Ronald Cox of Woodbine, Iowa; special uncle, Warren Lantz; and many other relatives and friends.
