Jordan Linn (Straight) Muxfeldt was born May 5, 1988, to Jay and Lori (Pond) Straight in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She attended school in Logan and graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in 2006. She then attended Iowa State University for 1 ½ years. Jordan married Shane Muxfeldt on December 31, 2008. Jordan loved to work with and show cattle. Jordan and her parents raised Limousin cattle. Three years ago, she began raising and showing miniature Australian Shepherds. At her first National Dog Show she and her dog were recognized as the National Grand Champion. Jordan helped to start IMAS – Iowa Miniature Australian Shepherd Assoc.

Jordan was a member of the Christian Church in Logan. Jordan was always willing to share her faith with other people. She served on the National Limousin Committee. This committee helped to line up shows and judges. She was elected as the National Herdsman of the Year in 2014 at the Denver Stock Show. She won Senior Showmanship at the National Junior Heifer Show. She also enjoyed riding her horse.

Jordan and her twins, Whitley Leah and Waylon Jay, were welcomed into God's loving arms on Monday, March 14, 2016, as the result of an accident in rural Logan, Iowa. Jordan was 27 years, 10 months, and nine days old.

Jordan was preceded in death by her, son, Westyn Muxfeldt; grandfathers, Jack Straight and Robert Pond; and niece, Jaylee Myer. She is survived by her husband, Shane Muxfeldt; son, Wayde Muxfeldt; parents, Jay and Lori Straight; two grandmothers, Sondra Straight and Rosemary Pond; siblings, Jamie (Scott) Myer, Jenelle (Adam) Kline, Jackson Straight (fiancé Cheyann Shelton) all of Logan, IA, Brian Bauer of Marshfield, MO; parents-in-law, Scott and Leah Muxfeldt of Logan, IA; brother-in-law, Reid (Julia) Muxfeldt of Benson, MN; nieces and nephews, Brayton, Brendyn and Bryce Myer; Brooklyn, Karsyn, Hudsyn, and Dixsyn Kline, baby girl Straight; and many other relatives and friends.
