Kenneth Wilke

Kenneth Arthur Wilke was born August 16, 1931, to William and Magdalena (Sonntag) Wilke in Earling, Iowa. Kenny was raised in rural Earling and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. Kenny then entered the United States Navy and proudly served his country from 1951 ~ 1955. On May 24, 1956, Kenny married Peggy O'Day in Shelby, Iowa. The couple lived in Omaha their entire married life. They began working at the Town & Country Mobile Home Park in 1965 eventually taking ownership of the park. They lived there for 48 years.

Kenny was a member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Omaha. He enjoyed working and keeping a meticulous yard. He also enjoyed horse racing and going to the casino. Kenny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Kenny died on Friday, May 4, 2012, at his home in Omaha at the age of 80 years, eight months and 18 days.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Marjorie Schaefer, Doret Sonntag and infant sister, Stella; nine brothers, Elroy, Sylvan, Virgil, Don, Norbert, Joe, Raymond, and Billy Wilke and infant brother, William Wilke. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wilke of Omaha, Nebraska; three children, Giselle Wilke, Terri and her husband Ronald Talacko and Kevin Wilke and his wife Suzanne all of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Wilke and his wife Monica of Panama, Iowa and Gary Wilke and his wife Mary Ella of Portsmouth, Iowa; sister, Betty Finken of Earling, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
