Leo Arnold Hull was born February 15, 1978, to Ronald and Suzan (Ludwig) Hull in Onawa, Iowa. He was raised near Moorhead and graduated from East Monona High School in 1996. Leo attended Iowa Western Community College and received his degree in diesel mechanics. He worked as a mechanic for Cummins and International in Omaha. In 2007 he started farming and moved to the home place in 2011.

Leo was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead. He enjoyed car racing and debating. He also enjoyed watching Iowa State University and the Kansas City Royals. If you ever asked Leo where he lived, his reply was, "I live in Willow Township in Monona County, Iowa." He loved all of his nieces and nephews.

Leo died at his home on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the age of 39 years, four months, and 14 days.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; grand-parents, Leo Hull and Arnold and Marjorie Ludwig. He is survived by two sisters, Melissa and her husband Dave Klutts of Camdenton, Missouri and Nora and her husband James McGowen of Beaver Crossing, Nebraska; grandmother, Edna Hull of Moorhead, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Ben Nuzum, Breanna Nuzum, Lydia McGowen, John McGowen, Rachel McGowen, Mary McGowen, Brian Nuzum and Max Honig; and many other relatives and friends.
