Les James Wendt

Leslie James Wendt was born May 23, 1952, in Portsmouth, Iowa to parents James and Donna (White) Wendt. He attended school in Missouri Valley. He started working for Cornhusker Trucking as an over-the-road truck driver. He then became self-employed as a dry waller. Les married Christine Sue Bierce in Missouri Valley, Iowa in 1973.
Les enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering in his van. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Les took great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends.
Les died June 19, 2004, at the Missouri Valley Hospital reaching the age of 52 years and 27 days.
Les was preceded in death by an infant brother; grandparents John and Elsie Wendt and Leo and Veronica White; and nephew Duane Boeck. He is survived by his four children Stacy and her husband Jeremy Jochims and Matthew Wendt of Woodbine, Iowa, Tammy Wendt and her friend Chris Hutchinson and Chad Wendt all of Missouri Valley, Iowa; granddaughter Sarah Jochims of Woodbine; parents James and Donna Wendt; two brothers Terry Wendt and his wife Debbie and Dean Wendt all of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister Vicki and her husband Gerald Boeck of Hutchinson, Kansas; and many other relatives and friends.
