Letha Huff

Letha Mae (Pape) Huff was born October 20, 1922, to Fritz and Martha (Bro) Pape in Magnolia, Iowa. She was raised in Magnolia and Pisgah, Iowa and attended country school. Letha married Raymond Howell in 1941. The couple lived in Elk Horn, Nebraska. Raymond died in 1989. On July 3, 1973, Letha married Leo Huff. They lived in Omaha until 1987. Letha worked through the years as a housekeeper and a waitress.

Letha died on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 90 years, two months, and 10 days.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Raymond Howell and Leo Huff; two sons, Roger and Russell Howell, four brothers, Richard, John, Walter and Chester Pape; three sisters, Viola Marcum, Betty Harris, Vivian Melby; and one brother, Glenn Pape. She is survived by her son, Bobby Howell of Papillion, Nebraska; six grandchildren; one step-son, Leo Huff of Pisgah, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Letha's wishes were to be cremated and no services held.
