Lillian Pedersen, 70 of Prophetstown, Illinois died on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at her home.

Lillian was born on March 20, 1934 in Dunlap, Iowa to parents John and Edith (Kessler) Pedersen. Lillian received her education in Dunlap public schools. Lillian worked at the Cronks Caf�, Ho Hum Motel and the Red Lantern restaurant in Denison, Iowa. Lillian moved to Prophetstown in 1986. She was employed at Self help Enterprises in Sterling, Illinois for the past 16 years. Lillian enjoyed visiting over a cup of coffee and a stack of lottery tickets. She lived for her family, the annual family reunions and the history of the Pedersen family descendants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Johnny & Leslie Pedersen, two sisters, Pearl Honaker and Mildred Melby. She is survived by one sister Rose Johnson of Prophetstown, Illinois; one brother Charles Pedersen of Des Moines, Iowa and 26 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday at the St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap with Pastor Carla Ingebretsen officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Musician will be Lauri Boysen and the vocalist will be Max Poe. The selections will be ??

Casket Bearers will be Steve Wessel, Rick Blume, Bob Mahlberg, Dave Mahlberg, Leslie Pedersen, Jr and Jason Pedersen. Memorials may be offered to the Self Help Enterprises in memory of Lillian. McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, Illinois and Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap, Iowa were in charge of arrangements.
