      Linda Dayle (Smith) Dickman was born December 28, 1947, to Arthur Neslen and Jessie Fern (Golden) Smith in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Linda attended and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1966. Linda married Richard Henry Dickman in 1966 at the RLDS Church in Woodbine. To this union, two sons were born, Gerald Dean and Jody Lee. Linda loved being a stay-at-home mom to her two boys when they were young and when they got older, she worked part time jobs in Woodbine including Foodland, Whitmore’s Home Decorating Center and the Woodbine Schools.

     Linda enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, crocheting and genealogy research. Linda and her sister Elaine were very instrumental in starting and operating the Harrison County Genealogy Society. She loved spending time with her boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent many years at various fields (football, baseball, softball and soccer) along with wrestling and swim meets and trap shooting events thru three generations. She was famous for making chocolate chip cookies which she took to the various sporting events.

     Linda died June 30, 2023, at Azria Health Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa attaining the age of 75 years, six months and two days.

     Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard on May 22, 2010; father-in-law, Harold Dickman Sr.; mother-in-law, Marion Dickman; brother, Dean Smith; and nephew, Tim Ehlert. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Kim) Dickman of Logan and Jody (Shanell) Dickman of Woodbine; three grandchildren, Audrina (Levi) Malone of Gretna, Nebraska, Kyle (Kylie)   Dickman of Papillion, Nebraska and Stetson (Caitlyn) Dickman of Dunlap, Iowa; five great-grandchildren, Maguire, Sterling and Mila Malone, Waltrey Dickman, and  Oakleigh  Dickman; sister, Elaine (Richard) Ehlert of Woodbine; sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith of Woodbine; and many other relatives and friends.
