Linda Steele

Linda Rae (Brummer) Steele was born on December 26, 1952, to Robert and Winnifred (McDonough) Brummer in Pisgah, Iowa. She was raised in the Woodbine area until her senior year and then attended school in Auburn, Nebraska graduating in 1971. She attended a business school in Kearney, Nebraska. Linda married Henry Neemann on February 14, 1972. The couple lived in central Nebraska for a number of years. Linda then attended Kearney State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1986. Linda managed the Circle K Convenient Store in Phoenix. She also worked for the University of Phoenix. Linda married Fred Steele in 1999. In 2000 the couple moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona. Fred died in February of 2004. Linda then worked at Staples for a couple of years.

Linda enjoyed reading, watching TV, working on puzzles, playing cards, traveling and crocheting. After she retired she enjoyed going scuba diving. She also enjoyed short motorcycle trips. She loved to cook and also write the family newsletter. Linda's greatest joy was being a grandma.

Linda died on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at the Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 62 years, seven months and 16 days.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Ott; husband, Fred Steele; three brothers, Tom, Jerry, and Roger Brummer. She is survived by two children, Thomas (Dana) Neemann of Dunlap, IA and Danielle (Jason) Partusch of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren; father, Bob (Lori) Brummer of Denison, IA; sister, Roberta (Robert) Steiner of Phoenix, AZ; two half brothers, Bobby Brummer of Moorhead, IA, Bryan (Theresa) Brummer of Soldier, IA; step-sister, Andrea Mallory of Denison, IA; step-brother, Justin (Kelli) Blair of Kiron, IA; sister-in-law, Julie Brummer of Council Bluffs, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
