Lynn Miller

Leonard Lynn Miller was born on June 23, 1953, to Leonard Glen and Pauline (McAdams) Miller in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended country school at Pleasant Valley School east of Woodbine until the 3rd grade. He completed his education at Woodbine Community Schools graduating in 1971. Lynn was united in marriage to Gerianne (Geri) Wegner on March 4, 1978.
Lynn enjoyed farming on the family farm which was designated as a State of Iowa Century Farm in 2003. He also enjoyed driving trucks and working in his shop. Lynn was a promoter for cemetery preservation and was a founding member of the Western Iowa Pioneer Cemetery Association. Most important to Lynn was spending time with his family and friends.
Lynn passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, after a recent illness at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 62 years, 10 months and six days.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Walter Wegner; and brother-in-law, Jim Wegner. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Geri Miller of Woodbine, Iowa; two sons, Jarrod Miller and his wife Kathryn of Woodbine, Alan Miller and fiancée Kellie Hanson of Earling, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ty, MaKenna, Emery and Josi; two sisters, Maureen Miller of Nebraska City, Nebraska and Nancy and her husband Les Frankl of Avoca, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Ceil Wegner of Woodbine, siblings-in-law, John (Nancy) Wegner of Woodbine, Bill (Julie) Wegner of Omaha, Nebraska, Joe Wegner of Deloit, Iowa, Tom (Sherry) Wegner of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
