Madonna Freymuller

Madonna Marie (Buter) Fremuller was born on April 12, 1922 in Dunlap, Iowa to parents Herman and Mary (Rath) Buter. She grew up in rural Dunlap and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1941. She then attended nursing school in Walker, Minnesota. Madonna married Paul Waite in 1953. The couple lived in Dunlap. Paul was killed in February of 1954. Madonna continued to live in Dunlap and then later moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa. She purchased a farm near Missouri Valley. Madonna married Ted Freymuller on March 1, 1969. They lived and farmed his farm northeast of Magnolia.
Madonna was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Woodbine. She was a hard worker and a feisty, headstrong lady.
Madonna died on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 94 years, three months and nine days.
Madonna was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Mary; two husbands, Paul Waite and Ted Freymuller; infant twins, Paul and Paula Waite; daughter Debra Williams; grandson, Donald Eugene Waite; four brothers, Alfred Buter, Anthony "Tony" Buter, Lawrence Buter and Wilfred "Willie" Buter; six sisters, Albina Smith, Agnes Andert, Leona Moulton, Monica Buter, Delores Horn, and Rosita Piper. She is survived by her two children, Michael Waite and his wife Clarice of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Margaret Christensen of Omaha, Nebraska; step son, Jim Freymuller of Magnolia, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; one brother, Herman Buter and his wife Darlene of Easton, Missouri and was loved by many other relatives and friends.
