On Sunday, February 13, 2022, Margaret Otte, loving mother of five children, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, passed away at the age of 83.

Margaret was born on January 26, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska to Maggie and Salim Dahir. On March 27th, 1970, she married Harry Otte. They raised three sons, Ron, Roger and Ray, and two daughters, Liesha and Tamie. Margaret lived in Woodbine Iowa, Omaha Nebraska, Garland Texas, with Harry.  She also spent two years in Casablanca, Morocco where her son Ron was born.

Margaret had a passion for travel, cooking and love for her family. Her favorite meals were sausage & peppers and cabbage rolls. She was also an avid music lover. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; and her siblings, Norah, George, Tom and Helen. She is survived by her five children, Ron, Roger, Ray, Liesha and Tamie; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17th, 2022, Sacred Heart Catholic Church 33 7th St. Woodbine, IA 51579.
