     Mary Beth (Katzenberger) Mabbitt was born on May 26, 1965, to Robert and Myrna (Block) Katzenberger in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She grew up in Dunlap, graduating in the class of 1983. Mary Beth went on to further her education at the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Nebraska and Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She later went to pursue her bachelor’s degree at Bellevue University. Mary Beth was united in marriage to Michael Mabbitt in 1987 and they were blessed with a son, Anthony “AJ”. They lived in a few places including Shenandoah, Iowa, Oklahoma and the Grand Island, Nebraska area. Mary Beth was a computer analyst at UNMC and co-owned two auto and diesel mechanic shops.

     Mary Beth enjoyed watching movies. She spent a lot of time tinkering with computers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

     Mary Beth died on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha at the age of 58 years, three months and 21 days.

    Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Kenneth Michael Mabbitt on February 11, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Michael Mabbitt; son, Anthony “AJ” Mabbitt and his wife, Amber of Hastings, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Andrew, Kaycelynn and Korie; sisters, Roxy and her husband Dennis Moore of Fort Worth, Texas and Renee and her husband Richard Archer of Ames, Iowa: brother, Rob Katzenberger and Donelle of Logan, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
