Michelle Anne (Petron) Roberts was born May 2, 1968, in New Haven, Connecticut to Richard Davis and Linda Anne (Gale) Petron. She grew up in New England and attended Sanborn High School in Kingston, New Hampshire. She then attended culinary school and worked in the food service industry. She also worked as a waitress and a bartender. Michelle met Tom Roberts in 2000 in Cocoa, Florida, and they were married on October 18, 2004. After marrying Tom; Michelle used her sales and people skills and started working in furniture sales. The couple lived in Florida, Knoxville, Tennessee, and in 2017 they moved to Salix, Iowa.
Michelle was a member of the Sweetwater United Methodist Church in Tennessee. Michelle loved her family ~ especially her grandkids. She taught gymnastics, enjoyed dancing, going to parks and the beach. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Patriots and Tennessee Volunteers. She loved the simple things in life. Michelle was always the happiest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. She loved her family more than anything else in the world. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She is going to be truly missed.
Michelle died December 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa after a short battle with cancer at the age of 50 years, seven months and 20 days.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rick Petron; and step brother, Quentin Heistand. She is survived by her husband, Tom Roberts of Salix, IA; four daughters, Raecine (Nick) Boyd of Cape Coral, FL, Terri Ellis (fiancée Andres Padilla) of Naples, FL, Brittney (Todd) Spooner of Dracut, MA and Scarlett Roberts of Cocoa, FL; five grandchildren, Jaelynn, Evelyn, Sterlin, Emily, and Jayde; brother, Cliff Petron of Nashua, NH; sister, Brigette (Andy) Robinson of Barefoot Bay, FL; parents-in-law, Kathy Roberts of Onawa, IA and Rollie (Beth) Roberts of Dunlap, IA; siblings-in-law, Tim Roberts of Whiting, IA, Tammy (Ron) Taylor of Onawa, IA; step-siblings, Angie (Harl) Bahntge of York, NE, Tyson (fiancée Kendra Foster) Heistand of Dunlap, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
