Nelda Golden

Nelda May (Emley) Golden was born May 6, 1926, to Homer and Etta Mae (Kelso) Emley. She graduated in 1944 from Arlington High School in Arlington, Nebraska. Nelda married Robert Golden on October 6, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1967 Nelda attended Tech School and received her LPN diploma. Nelda worked at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa as an LPN for 22 years.

Nelda enjoyed her camping, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She particularly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nelda died Monday, February 5, 2007, at her daughter's home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 80 years, nine months, and three days.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert on August 17, 1990; and daughter Roberta Lynn Brookhouser on September 24, 1986. She is survived by three children, Barbara and her husband Bill Lundvall of Glenwood, Iowa, Robert Golden and his wife Melissa of Harlan, Iowa, Twyla and her husband Bill Loyd of Missouri Valley, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister Betty Golden of Minden, Nebraska three half sisters, Wanda Price of Omaha, Nebraska, Josephine Rodosovich of Williamsburg, Virginia, Bertha Bullen of Okemos, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.
