Broomfield, Colorado - Norma R. (Kelley) Houston, 67, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on November 16, 2023, at her home in Broomfield.

 

Norma was born June 21, 1956, to Johnny and Rita (Arkfeld) Kelley. Norma graduated from Woodbine High School with the class of 1974. Following her graduation Norma married her high school sweetheart Martin J. Houston of Dunlap on February 8, 1975. The couple were blessed with three children. Norma attended nursing school in Iowa and graduated with her License Practical Nurse degree in 1981. Norma and Martin moved to Colorado and settled in their permanent home in Broomfield, CO in 1982. Norma and Martin celebrated 48 years of marriage in February 2023.

 

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Rita Kelley and sister, Joyce Kelley. She is survived by her loving husband Martin J. Houston; three beautiful children and their families, Heather and her husband Brent Butterfield and their two children Collin and Caleb, Christina and her husband Bradley Cooper and their four children Ethan, Gemma, Shelby, and Bentley, Sean Houston and his son Carter; four sisters, twin sister, Nancy and her husband Steve Hupp, sister, Susan and her husband Dana Sturgill, Cindy Stessman, Sheila and her husband Bill Bonner; two brothers, Marvin Kelley and his wife Patty, Paul Kelley and his wife Tracy; and many other relatives and friends.

 

A celebration of life was held on Saturday November 25, 2023, from 11:00am-4:00pm at the Broomfield Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7650 W. 120th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020.

 

Norma has chosen to be cremated and there will not be a gravesite or church service held. Those who wish to remember Norma in a special way may send gifts to Martin Houston 1025 W. 8th Ave Dr. Broomfield, CO 80020.

 

The family would like to thank you all for being so supportive and loving through this tough time.
