Patricia Ann (Adams) Duensing was born February 29, 1932, to James and Zella (Lizer) Adams in Woodbine, Iowa. The couple was blessed with two children, Patricia and Bob. As a young child, Patricia and her mother and brother, Bob, moved to Climax, Colorado following the death of her father. Zella later married Howard Horn and the couple was blessed with a daughter, MaryJane. The family lived in Denver for a short time before moving to Longmont, Colorado. Patricia graduated from Longmont High School in 1949. Patricia married Roland Duensing in 1950. They were blessed with four children. Patricia worked for the University of Colorado. She thoroughly enjoyed working with all the young college students and being around their infectious energy.

Patricia was a founding and faithful member of the Community of Christ. She served as an Elder for many years. She loved the mountains and after her retirement she spent summers working in Yellowstone Park where she could share her love of nature with the visitors. Her last home in Longmont was the St. Vrain Manor where she worked in the library. She organized movie nights, and enlivened other common activities.

Patricia died on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado at the age of 83 years, five months, and 18 days.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland Duensing; son, Scott Duensing and brother, Bob Adams. She is survived by her three children; William Duensing and his wife Maureen of Pekin, Illinois, Belinda Duensing Nichols of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mark Duensing of Longmont, Colorado; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, MaryJane Klepac of Berthoud, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.
