Patricia Lucille (Biven) Logan was born March 22, 1938, near Logan, Iowa to William Heath and Gladys Nadine (Heady) Biven. She attended Liberty Country School and then Logan High School where she graduated in 1956. Pat then went to work in Omaha for Mutual Benefit. On February 3, 1957, Pat married Ed Logan at the Logan Christian Church. The couple lived in town for a short time and Pat worked as a bookkeeper for the Harvey Grocery Store. They then moved out to the farm and Pat became a farm wife and mother. The couple moved back into town in 1997. Ed died on January 19, 2014.
Pat was an active member of the Logan Christian Church as well as very involved in activities with Ed and the girls. Her many volunteer hats included: Sunday School Superintendent, youth leader, 4-H leader, President of the PTA, Harrison County Republicans, and Harrison County Crimestoppers. Pat enjoyed the Delver's Club and both Pat and Ed enjoyed the Circle 8 Square Dance Club. She sang at many funerals over the years. Pat also crocheted many afghans and donated many of them to the Open Door Mission.
Pat died on Friday, August 19, 2016, at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, five months, and 27 days.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ed. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Logan-Brummer and Jeff Roach of Logan, Iowa and Mickey and her husband Dan Steffeny of Decatur, Illinois; four grandchildren, James Logan, Logan Steffeny, Morgan Steffeny and Kayla Coberly; brother, Bill Biven and his wife Kay of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
