Richard Keith Gorham was born March 6, 1930, to Charles and Atlai (Mann) Gorham in Soldier, Iowa.  He attended   country school and Dunlap high school.  He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force ~ serving during the Korean War as a photographic engineer.  After his honorable discharge he was a local truck driver for area farmers in the Dunlap area.  He then moved and did more trucking and construction work in Springfield and Independence, Missouri.  Richard helped in the construction of the Oak Grove School.  He also worked with refrigeration and ice machines installing and repairing the equipment.  On September 29, 1978, Richard married Joyce Patterson in Independence, Missouri.  The     couple moved to Dunlap in 1980 and Richard worked for Boyer Valley Rendering and he was currently working for Quality Trucking in Denison.
   
   
   Richard enjoyed driving trucks.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and just plain socializing.
   
   
   Richard died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at his home in Dunlap attaining the age of 76 years, one month, and 20 days.
   
   
   Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jesse; brother, Max; and sister, Elizabeth Dunham.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce; one daughter, Jackie and her husband Cliff Munson of Salem, Oregon; five sons, Mike Gorham and his wife Christi of Holstein, California, Dave Gorham of Puyallup, Washington, Jim McGeorge of Omaha, Nebraska, Jeff Rose and his wife Lisa of Dunlap, Iowa, Johnny Rose and his wife Shelly of Dow City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Gorham of Woodbine, Iowa; brother-in-law, Loren Dunham of St. Joseph, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
