Sharon Neill

     Sharon Kay Neill was born on March 2, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Betty (Kelp) Holbrook. She grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa, graduating high school in 1959. Sharon was then married, and to that union three children were born – Mark, Tammy, and Marvin. Sharon was the receptionist for Dr. Walls Dentistry for 33 years, a true testament to her dedication. She also worked for the Ratigan Motor Center part time.

     Sharon was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She found joy in pursuits such as traveling with family and friends, attending county fairs and music festivals, and baking sugar cookies. Sharon also enjoyed spending time with her friends and classmates. Above all, Sharon enjoyed taking care of her family and watching them grow. She greatly enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren with all of their endeavors, her encouragement and affection left a mark on everyone around her. She will be remembered not only for the beautiful life she lived, but for the way she made others feel.

     Sharon died on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, three months, and six days.

     Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Neill; and sister, Joyce Potthast. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Mike) Jones of Durango, Colorado and Marvin (Tracey) Neill of Mondamin, Iowa; grandchildren, Jennifer Neill, Jeremy (Paige) Neill, Jaclyn (Tyler) Noren, Jacob (Valerie) Wiederin, Cody Neill, Amber Neill, Colton Neill, Colby Neill, Jonathan Hill, and Nicholas (Cheyanne) Hill; 16 great-grandchildren; loving dog, Allie; and many other relatives and friends.
