Shirley Krajicek

Shirley Ellen (Schaefer) Krajicek was born June 13, 1941, to Cletus and Elizabeth (Feuerbach) Schaefer in Dunlap, Iowa. She was raised in Dunlap, attended country school and graduated from Dunlap High School. She worked at Mutual of Omaha following her high school graduation. Shirley married Raymond Krajicek on August 6, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska, and the couple lived in the Dunlap area. Shirley then worked at CDS in Harlan and Top Grade Telemarketing in Dunlap.

Shirley was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, and sending cards. She loved her family and going to all of the family events and grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed going to the river. Shirley always greeting you with a smile and a hug and her attitude was always happy and positive.

Shirley died on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa at the age of 73 years, nine months, and 16 days.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ronald, Vincent "Butch" and Melvin Schaefer; and grandson, Riley Beeck. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Krajicek of Dunlap, Iowa; four children, Scott (Carole) Krajicek of Logan, Iowa, Peggy Stessman and fiancé Tim Rohlf of East Peoria, Illinois, Paula (Brian) Heffernan of Dunlap, Iowa, Adam Krajicek and his girlfriend Geana Schneider of Council Bluffs, Iowa; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Thompson of Willcox, Arizona, Sharon Greer of Dateland, Arizona, Dorothy (Fred) Bartz of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Delores (Ron) Hartwig of Logan, Iowa, Ruth (Bob) Wagner of Little Rock Arkansas; brother, Jerry Schaefer of Aurora, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.
