Wilma "Billie" Ann (Luther) Magill Inhofe was born on June 24, 1919, in Grand Junction, Iowa to Clyde and Meida (Egli) Luther. Billie graduated from the Grand Junction High School and then went to work for the telephone company. On October 29, 1942, Billie married Ben Magill in Fort Meade, Maryland. After Ben’s honorable discharge, the couple settled in Atlantic, Iowa. Billie worked at the JC Penney Store in Atlantic for a number of years. Ben died in August of 1978. In 1984, Billie married Don Inhofe. Don died in June of 2003. Billie moved to Woodbine to be closer to her daughter in December of 2008.

Billie was a member of the Atlantic Presbyterian Church, Atlantic Golf and Country Club, Eastern Star, and the Benevolent Patriotic Order of the Does #23. Billie loved watching golf, playing bingo and uno with the staff and residents of the assisted living at Rose Vista. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds outside her window and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Billie died on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley at the age of 92 years, one month and seven days.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; son, Scott Magill in May of 1970; brother, Vernon Luther; and sister, LaVonne Magill. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Rains and Denny Stoner of Woodbine, Iowa; son Kenneth Magill of Rockwell City, Iowa; five grand-children, Ben Arps and his wife Holly of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jen Rains and Brian Hytrek of Panama, Iowa, Jesse and her husband Jason Slobotski of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Amy Stoner of Savannah, Missouri and Jacob Stoner of Papillion, Nebraska; seven great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
