Robert Barkley Jordan was born on July 8, 1939, in Logan, Iowa to Murle and Phyllis (Fetter) Jordan. He attended country school and then graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1957. He joined the United State Navy in 1957 and proudly served his country until December of 1976. Bob then went to work in the maintenance department at the Logan Magnolia Schools until his retirement in 2001. Bob also drove cars for Gregg Young and Woodhouse. On August 4, 1978, Bob was united in marriage to Maryln Jacobsen at the Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia, Iowa. They later attended the Logan Christian Church.

Bob loved watching football, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. He and Maryln started going to Arizona for the winters in 2002 and thoroughly enjoyed those trips and the lifelong friends they made there. He loved shooting pool while there. They enjoyed dancing, especially with their very close friends Chuck and Darlene Lamberson, and classic cars, especially the Model A he restored and Maryln’s 1963 Impala. Most of all, Bob loved his family and cherished his time with them.
